 Using genetically modified crops is a worldwide and controversial problem. There are some people who say that modified crops are harmful and dangerous. But, I strongly support the idea that we should use genetically modified crops to tackle with some emergent problems. I have three points to elaborate on the reasons of my opinion.

    The primary reason is that we have to solve foods problem. It is estimated that the world population will reach ten billion in the end of this century. Experts say that the earth has its foods supplies capacity and ten billion is extremely beyond the capacity. Experts also say that genetically modified crops are the only reasonable option to deal with the problem.

    Furthermore, we can use genetic engineering technology in other ways such as making more effective vaccine and preserving endangered animals. We can acquire a lot of benefits from the innovative technology.

    Last but not least, the opinion that genetically modified crops are harmful is false. According to the recent study of The National Health and Foods Department, there are no negative consequences due to using the crops.

    Taking the above aforementioned into consideration, I am of the opinion that we should not ban uses of genetically modified crops.
